Three generations of the same standard

Royal Ciancanelli started this company out of his house in Beacon in 1978. Nearly fifty years later it is still his family running it — his sons, and a crew of IICRC-certified technicians who have been here for years, not months. No franchises, no call centers, no corporate indifference.

Founder (Retired)

Royal E. Ciancanelli founded Royalty Carpet in 1978, the year his second son Paul was born. It started out of his home in Beacon, New York — carpet, upholstery and janitorial cleaning, done himself. He built the company on being honest, trustworthy and willing to serve his customers, and that is the reason it is still here nearly fifty years later. Roy has nine children, and he has since retired — leaving the business in the hands of the family he raised in it.

Paul Ciancanelli

Owner

Paul is Royal's second-born son and has worked at Royalty Carpet since January 1999. He came up through the trade the long way — carpet cleaning technician, then operations manager, then water damage restoration specialist — so there is not a service here he has not done himself. Today he owns the company his father started, and he still answers the phone.

Richard Ciancanelli

Operations Manager

Rich is Royal's fifth-born son and has been with Royalty Carpet since 2006. He started as a cleaning technician, moved into the office to answer phones and run the cleaning side, and today he manages the day-to-day operations of the business.

Nicholas Salerno

Assistant Operations Manager

Nicholas is IICRC-certified with more than a decade on Hudson Valley floors. He started in the trade in 2013, spent close to eight years as a flooring and restoration technician, and joined Royalty in 2022 as a project estimator. Today he helps run operations — scoping jobs across six counties and holding the crew to the standard.

Matt Milkins

Finance Manager

Matt has been the Finance Manager at Royalty Carpet since 2016. He brings over 26 years of finance management experience and is OSHA certified. He keeps the business running smoothly behind the scenes.

Tristan Schepers

Lead Cleaning Technician

Tristan is a certified Lead Cleaning Technician and has been with Royalty Carpet since 2009. He has extensive knowledge of every cleaning service the company offers and is committed to doing each one right. Outside of work he is usually spending time with his wife and daughter.
