Royalty Carpet & Flooring
Assistant Operations Manager · IICRC-Certified Floor Care Specialist
Nicholas Salerno has spent more than a decade on Hudson Valley floors. He started in 2013 as a floor cleaning assistant, spent close to eight years as a flooring and restoration technician, and joined Royalty Carpet & Flooring in 2022 as a project estimator. Today he is Assistant Operations Manager, where he scopes jobs, sets the standard our technicians work to, and handles the calls other companies would rather not take.
That path matters. Nicholas learned this trade with a wand in his hand, not out of a manual — pulling pet urine out of carpet backing, drying flooded basements at 2am, and working out which hardwood floors could be saved and which ones were past it. When he writes about drying times or whether a stain will come out, he is describing jobs he has done in Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Ulster, Westchester and Rockland counties.
He is IICRC-certified — the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification, the standards body for the cleaning and restoration trade. You can also find him on LinkedIn.
