Should I choose Bruce solid or engineered hardwood?
Solid for main floors above grade that you intend to keep and refinish for decades. Engineered for basements, concrete slabs, radiant heat, and wide planks, because the plywood core stays stable where solid oak would move. Both are real wood on the surface; the difference is what is underneath and where it belongs. We will tell you which your room needs during the measure.
Can Bruce hardwood be refinished?
Solid Bruce, many times over its life. Engineered Bruce, usually once or twice depending on the thickness of the wear layer.
